Card server is our communication utility that is used to send
transaction data that require offsite processing. For example, Check21, Comed instant payment, Coinstar
pre-paid, Check verification, and all debit card transactions use Card Server.
BPS and ATS from your “support station” now have the ability to restart card
server directly through the software when the cashier encounters a transaction
timeout.
Up to 4 Money Order Printers in the system
One major addition we have made in this release is the ability to print money orders to up to four different money order printers in a single store. This can be a tremendous benefit for busy stores where multiple tellers print many money orders to the same printer at the same time. Now you can assign each teller window to its own money order printer.
Large Passenger sticker price change
In
conjunction with the City of
OTC price issue
As per a previous DCS bulletin sent to all owners, updates to the OTC software have been made to correct the issue encountered in some cases where the $40 late charge was not being applied to customers who were late within the discount period.
Previously when customizing your store(s) receipt, our software would not allow for more than 10 lines of text to be added to the header and footer of the receipt. This limitation has been removed and now allows for additional customization.
We are pleased to announce the launch of the new DCS Web Messaging System!!!
The Web Messaging System will enable store owners and managers to send custom message broadcasts to all store managers and employees. These messages will be retrieved by your staff upon system login or the next completed transaction based on the defined message priority.
Coming soon: Use of the Web Messaging System will allow an operation to define specific DCS system reports to be emailed to users setup on the website!!
No additional software required!
Your staff will send messages directly through the DCS website!
Owners can designate any number of managers to be assigned to specific stores!
You have the ability to include links to websites that your employees can access with a single click!
The cost to the owner to utilize this service is a one-time setup fee of $29 per location and $9 per month thereafter.
Please contact the DCS support staff at the number below to sign up now!

This can be a tremendous benefit for busy stores where multiple tellers print many money orders to the same printer at the same time. Now you can assign each teller window to its own money order printer.
In order to assign a different money order printer to a teller station, click on "Maintenance" and then "Edit Box info" on that station.

A screen will be displayed showing you the available money order printers in your store. Select the printer that you want to use for this station by clicking on the radio button next to it. The red circle will show you the printer that is selected at the present time. Also be sure the starting, ending, and current money order numbers are the same as the current box loaded in the assigned printer. Click "OK" to finish the setup.

For any questions regarding the setup of new printers please call our technical support at 847-498-9955 Ext 2
Federal Report for Store
money orders
Previously, MOPS required a federal
report to be completed for any STORE money orders issued that exceeded the
federal report limit. Now stores have
the option to exclude STORE money orders from their Federal Report. This is an optional configuration with
mandatory completion of the report by the teller being the default option. To exclude store money orders from Federal
Report entry and generation, click on "Setup" and then click on
"Store Setup"

The main store setup screen will be displayed. Now be sure that the "Include Store MO in Federal Report" box is unchecked on top right hand corner of the screen. Click "OK" to save the settings.

Money Order Verification frequency
In an effort to better insure that your system’s money orders are in sequence with the money orders on the printer, the system periodically prompts the tellers to enter the next money order number on the printer. Improvements have been made to the verification process to insure the tellers are entering the next money order number on the printer. For our MOCS (Money Order Control System) customers, this will improve the reconciliation process when clearing the money orders received from the bank against your store(s) sale items.
