Digital Currency Systems in partnership with ELS has launched a new and improved version of the Chicago City Sticker module for the 2009-10 sticker season. This module is provided free of charge to all DCS Chicago customers. This year's program includes a fully integrated real-time transaction based system allowing for improved accuracy and sticker inventory management.
The City Clerk has eliminated the four types of stickers in favor of a single stock of forms and print on demand functionality. Now, your stores will be able to print P, LP, S,and A city stickers from the single stock of forms.
The following steps guide you through performing a City Sticker transaction through your ATS system:
City Sticker Transaction:
To start a City Sticker application, Click the Daily button.

The ATS Daily Work menu will be displayed. Double click on the "Chicago OTC Sticker" option to launch the city sticker application.

There are two types of transactions:
1) Manual Application: A manual application is used when the customer does not have a pre-print application or would like to buy a sticker as a new resident or new vehicle owner .
2) Pre-Printed Application: City sends a renewal application in the mail to all city sticker owners from the prior year. If the customer provides you with the application they have received, you can use that preprint application number to sell the sticker.

After you select the application type, enter all the required information in the fields below and click the "Next - Web" button.

A new web application entry form will be displayed where you will be asked to enter the vehicle and customer information. Customer information entered on the previous screen is automatically populated . Make sure you enter the correct vehicle and driver's license information since it determines what type of sticker (Regular, Senior, Large Passenger or Truck A) will be sold to the customer. Review all the entered information and click Continue.
*Note: When selecting Pre-Print, you will be prompted to enter the Pre-Print number and either the last name or the Company name associated with the vehicle. All customer and vehicle related information will be automatically populated in the next form. Then proceed as instructed below..

A Parking Zone Permit purchase option will be displayed if the customer’s address is within zoned city parking. At this point, you will have the option to issue/print the Parking Zone directly on the the sticker for an additional fee.

The next screen asks you to enter the form number that you would like to print the sticker on. Enter the next form number to print from your laser printer. Enter the payment method used by the customer and click on "Print and Finish"

A separate window will be displayed with the sticker application generated for the customer. Load the ELS sticker form in the printer and when ready, print the application. Close this window once you have printed the document.
**Note: Direction the sticker form is loaded is dependent upon the type of laser printer in your store. Most Lexmarks and Brothers appear to prefer the sticker facing UP with the top of the form being fed in first away from you.

Senior & Permit Parking:
Prior to printing the sticker during the above step for Senior and Permit
Parking stickers, you will be prompted to print the document below on blank
paper to your laser printer. Once
printed, you are required to photocopy an acceptable form of proof directly
onto the form and submit to ELS to turn over to the City of

Next, you are asked to verify if the sticker printed correctly. If it did, select the "Yes" radio button and click Finish. If for any reason sticker did not print or didn't print correctly, select No. You will be provided with the option to reprint the sticker at this time.

You are now ready to record the payment from the customer in your ATS system. The OTC payment window will prompt you with the sticker price and the Fee. Click OK to continue.

The initial OTC Application window will now be displayed with the Customer, Vehicle and Sticker information for this transaction. Click Finish to finalize the transaction.

Click Done and enter the payment made by the customer. A receipt will print for customer records.

Reports:
You can access your City sticker sales report and sales history through the ATS Vault menu. Under the ATS Vault menu, click on Reports and then click on ATS System Reports

ATS System Reports menu will be displayed. Select the Transactions tab from the top, and then select the "Chicago OTC Stickers" item on the left side of the menu. Next, select the date range that you want to view the report for and click on Print.

A report will be generated displaying the sales data for the selected date range.
